News10 — An inmate just two months away from his scheduled release to parole disappeared from a work camp near Highway 101 in Humboldt County Monday afternoon.
James Robert Prinz, 43, a minimum security prisoner, was serving two years from Placer County for making a criminal threat to cause great bodily injury, resisting an officer with force and violence, and battery on a peace officer, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Prinz was described as white, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds with a medium build. He has short brown hair, blue eyes and a medium complexion. When last seen about 3:30 p.m. at the High Rock Conservation Camp, Prinz wore orange pants with "CDRC Prisoner" written on them.
Anyone who has seen Prinz was urged to call 911 or law enforcement immediately.
