KCRA 3 — A Sacramento County sheriff’s deputy has been arrested on sexual assault charges, KCRA 3 has confirmed.
Donald Black, 43, was arrested Tuesday by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department on five counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child.
Black has been put on administrative leave, said Sgt. Lisa Bowman, a spokeswoman with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.
“We are shocked at the arrest and are cooperating fully with the Nevada County Sheriff’s department,” Bowman said.
Black has worked as a deputy for Sacramento County for 23 years.
The Nevada County Sheriff’s Department would not talk about the case, only confirming that Black was arrested at the north station for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, which is where he worked.
An investigation is ongoing.
