Inside CDCR — The California State Prison-Sacramento (CSP-SAC) correctional officer who was attacked by an inmate on Nov. 18 was discharged yesterday (Nov. 19) from the hospital and is recovering.
He has had three surgeries to repair serious injuries to his neck, ear and thumb.
The officer is grateful to be alive and is happy to be home from the hospital with his family.
He is thankful for all the responding staff members on the day of the incident and wants to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for his well being and speedy recovery.
