Several police agencies got involved in a manhunt Wednesday afternoon when a would-be inmate escaped from the Sacramento County Main Jail.
Officials caught up with the 19-year-old suspect across the street from the jail, at the county administration building, a short time later, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
It was a security guard who found the handcuffed teen -- later identified as Leonid Fedorchuk -- inside the building.
A jail vehicle brought the suspect to the correctional facility, and he didn't even make it inside.
It's still not exactly clear how Fedorchuk evaded officials.
The search, held in downtown Sacramento, didn't even last an hour.
The California Highway Patrol was involved, as well.
